Mission Statement

The mission of The New Cracow Friendship Society is to fight for the rights of those who are subject to injustice, based on religion, nationality, race, or gender. We support the principle that the State of Israel has a right to exist. We emphatically denounce any movement or individual that contradicts that aspect of our mission that was started by our parents and grandparents. Fundamental to our goal is to work in communities to educate young people and adults; teaching tolerance and raising awareness of the truth of the Shoah and its horrors. Our mission also includes social events to bring our members and members of like-minded organizations together to ensure we remain strong in our commitment to stand against anti-Semitism and bigotry in the USA and globally.

Actions to fulfill our mission:

1. To maintain a
welfare fund to aid needy Jewish Cracovians survivors in Cracow, the United States and Israel.

2. To provide social, educational and informational gatherings several times a year for our members and friend.

3.  To be vigilant and take action(s) to combat antisemitism throughout the world.

4. To publish an informative bi-monthly newsletter that reaches all members on a regular basis.

5. To maintain an international audience with a website and facebook page for members, other like minded societies and concerned individuals.

11. To support, as of 1973, “AKIM”, the Association for the Rehabilitation of the Mentally Handicapped Children in Israel.
